  1. I’m sorry, these people would be vilified in the US for telling Mexicans to go home.

    The classic Reddit double standard

  2. What did they expect when they put salmon in the fish tacos

  3. This certainly will garner some civil conversation here…

  4. It’s not the fault of immigrants that landlords are jacking up rents.

  5. They should pay to have some sort of wall built along the border.

  6. so you’re telling me nobody likes non citizens taking up space in their country? these are people with legal right to be in mexico too. imagine if they were there illegally.

  7. I wish we could do the same here in Vietnam. The digital nomads should be kicked out from our country.

  8. Funny how it’s ok for them to tell us to go home, but it’s extremely wrong for us to tell them to go home.

Double standards are a bitch, aren’t they?

  9. Gentrification and rent increases are a problem in any desirable city. See Coloradans complaining about Californians. Smoothbrains feasting in here with “See how the turntables” comments.

  10. I tell you what buddy, we’ll do a trade and those guys can come live in Los Angeles

  11. That’s ironic. How about all Mexicans leave America, and vice versa? Which place becomes the most better off?

  12. All across the world I’m seeing people fall for the same rhetoric that got Donald Trump elected.

  13. I have less sympathy for affluent immigrants taking advantage of poorer countries than I do for poor immigrants looking to improve their life in affluent countries.

  14. > The march, which passed the U.S. Embassy, was mostly peaceful. But later, some marchers turned to vandalism, smashing windows of more than a dozen storefronts, including a bank, a popular taco chain and a Starbucks.

Why is it that when it supports a conservative narrative, suddenly nobody cares about whether it’s peaceful or not?

  15. My dad is Mexican and lives in Mexico City but my mom is white and I look white as fuck and don’t speak Spanish. This makes me wonder how I would be received when I visit lol

  16. It’s funny to that Reddit has no sympathy for any country who complains about tourism. I wonder why that is?

Also this isn’t ironic. These Americans are continuing to be racist, spewing maga talking TV points, refusing to use Spanish, they don’t invest in local business and hate the culture of the place they moved to. Of course there will be pushback, at the same time the U.S. president has been deporting legal Mexican Americans.

  17. Oh damn, if the cartels get in on it. It won’t be pretty.
