Tigo Energy, Inc., a global leader in intelligent solar and energy software solutions, has announced that its full range of three-phase Tigo EI Inverters has successfully passed certification tests for compliance with PPDS P4 requirements in the Czech Republic. This compliance, officially referred to as Distribution System Operation Rules, Annex 4, is necessary for connecting solar inverters to the national grid. It confirms that Tigo’s inverters meet the technical standards set by the European Commission and adopted by Czech utility companies.
This milestone comes at a time when rapid shutdown requirements are gaining momentum across Europe. In 2024 alone, installers in the Czech Republic have deployed nearly 107 MW of Tigo MLPE (Module Level Power Electronics) products. Over the past decade, thousands of Czech installers have consistently chosen Tigo products, making the brand a trusted name in the local solar market.
The launch of the Tigo EI Residential system is well-timed, as the Czech Republic is expected to add 967 MW of new solar capacity in 2024, largely driven by residential rooftop installations. The Tigo EI Residential system is designed as a complete, integrated solution that covers solar generation, storage, and energy management.
It includes TS4 Flex MLPE, both single- and three-phase inverters, modular battery storage, and the EI Link—a compact cabinet that consolidates system wiring, communications, and backup functionality. Tigo’s platform also supports e-mobility with the GO EV Charger and integrates heating systems through the GO Junction, which links heat pumps to the energy management network.
Miroslav Vavera, CEO at SUNLUX s.r.o., said in a statement, “Tigo securing this certification for inverter operation on the grid infrastructure of the Czech Republic means that installers like us now have a reliable, all-in-one solution that is easy to install and configure, with a flexible, modular architecture that fits a wide range of residential customer needs. Beyond installation, Tigo also offers proactive monitoring through the Energy Intelligence software platform, which will significantly streamline our operations and maintenance program. For homeowners, this means a system that is always ready to deliver energy security, even during outages, elevating the role of batteries from optional add-ons to essential pillars of energy independence, all easily managed through a user-friendly app.”
Jing Tian, chief growth and revenue officer at Tigo Energy, memtioned, “As one of our strongest global markets, the expansion of the Tigo EI Residential solution into the Czech Republic is yet another sign that integrated solar-plus-storage from Tigo continues to gain momentum across Europe. This certification allows us to bring the value of an integrated home energy system that delivers real benefits to Czech homeowners and the skilled professionals who serve them.”
Tigo’s installer-friendly features are the result of continuous engagement with solar professionals through its Green Glove Service Program. These insights have helped shape improvements in the design, installation, and commissioning processes. With the Tigo EI Residential system, setup is now faster and simpler, with fewer manual steps required. Installers benefit from tools and support that streamline deployment and troubleshooting, while seamless system integration ensures optimal performance and reliability across Tigo inverters, batteries, and the EI Link.
Homeowners interested in adopting Tigo systems can access a list of certified solar installers in the Czech Republic through the company’s website. In addition, Czech installers and PV professionals are invited to attend Iftech Solar Fvest, a dedicated event taking place in September 2025. Organized by Tigo’s distribution partner Iftech, the event will provide a hands-on experience of the EI Residential Solution and deeper insight into its key features.
