  1. As a non-gamer I always forget how popular they are and how many people play them. I’ve read that over 50% of Europeans play video games. I’ve also read that comments need to be over 149+1 characters.

  2. Amazing initiative.

Video game makers should not be able to sell you a product, then decide the next day without warning that you can never play this game again.

Imagine buying a Toyota Camry and one day Toyota decides it no longer wants to support their Camry line anymore, and instead of just no longer supporting it, they bricked every single Toyota Camry ever sold.

You would never be able to get a loan for any car again because it could happen at any moment leaving people with no incentive to pay back their loan and there would be no way for the bank to recoup their loan by taking the car back since it’s worthless.

The point is, in any other industry this would be illegal already.

Still looks like it needs another 150,000 signatures just to be safe. Keep signing UK and EU.

  3. Whether they like it or not, gamers make up an incredible portion of the population, I personally am not a gamer, (I play sports in my free time as I’m young and am making the most of my youthful athletic body) however, thinking in the favour of such a large percentage of people should be the norm here, I wouldn’t know how thoughtful these politicians are though

  4. What solution is being proposed here?

What does it mean to leave an online game like Hell Let Loose in a ‘playable’ state?

Firing range only? Allowing private servers to take over once official options are stopped?

Shirely, the latter would still require some level of support

I’d prefer the focus to be on getting rid of loot box/predatory gambling practises…the kind of nonsense that slows ‘normal’ progression down to a crawl. Constant reminders to buy this currency, or play that mode, are much more annoying than being unable to play NBA 2k3.
