Maronite Catholic conference features Aramaic liturgy and first-class relics of the saints, including the crib of Jesus, the Holy Cross, and the Twelve Apostles.
For the first time in Irish history, Catholics will encounter the ancient beauty of the Maronite Catholic tradition at the 2025 St. Sharbel Conference, taking place July 11-13. This landmark event will unite East and West in a powerful weekend of prayer, relic veneration, and spiritual renewal.
Throughout the three days, the Maronite Divine Liturgy, one of the oldest liturgies of the Catholic Church, will be chanted in Aramaic and English, the language spoken by Christ himself.
More than 200 first-class relics of the saints, including relics of the crib of Jesus, the Holy Cross, the Twelve Apostles, and modern mystics, will be reverently displayed for public veneration and prayer. Attendees can expect moments of profound grace, healing and peace.
Organized by the Family of Saint Sharbel Ireland, a mission devoted to spreading the witness of the Lebanese hermit St. Sharbel Makhlouf across Europe, the conference aims to reawaken Ireland’s Christian roots.
“Our team was inspired to host this conference because of the intercession of St. Sharbel Maklouf,” said Riobhca Cuinn, one of the conference organizers. “When people encounter St. Sharbel, their hearts change. We’ve seen miracles of healing, peace and conversion across Europe. Now it’s Ireland’s turn to receive his blessing.”
Throughout Europe, the Family of Saint Sharbel Ireland has witnessed thousands of answered prayers through their tours with a first-class relic of St. Sharbel. Cuinn explained that most people have never heard of the Maronite Church or St. Sharbel, but once they do, they are captivated by its beauty.
“This conference is a homecoming for Ireland. The saints are coming to meet us here, to remind us that heaven is closer than we think.”
Each day, attendees will encounter the ancient Maronite Divine Liturgy. Rich in silence, mysticism and chant, this liturgy draws the faithful into the profound mystery of Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.
The conference will also feature talks on Maronite spirituality, relic devotion and personal testimonies of miracles. Speakers include Raymond Nader (Family of Saint Sharbel, Lebanon), Patrick Kenny (Father Willie Doyle Association, Ireland), Anthony Di Mauro (The Relic Project, USA), Louise Schwartz (St. Sharbel Pilgrimages, Lebanon), and Sèamus Christopher (Family of Saint Sharbel, Ireland).
Tickets for the entire three-day event are available now.
Each ticket grants full access to the entire three-day experience, including liturgies, relic veneration, speaker sessions, Eucharistic adoration, confession, and a Catholic vendor area. Evening Rosaries and time for reflection will also be available.
Volunteer opportunities are open for those who wish to help make this weekend of grace possible.
Following the conference, the relic of St. Sharbel will continue its tour across Europe. Visit the Family of Saint Sharbel Ireland website for upcoming locations.
