Very strange. Trying to claim victimhood status for a group not directly targeted by these murders. Troubling and insincere.
I hope if it is proven to be an act of Islamic terror that this individual will stand against Islamic terror and extremism and there will no reluctance to do so.
We need to learn more about the murderer and his motives, but right now it does not look like your standard xenophobic hate-crime. If it was based on islamic teachings about homosexuality, linking this up with islamophobia seems a bit… off to me.
I’ve always found this lad to be off. His twitter use seems to be in the same vein as ‘The Oxford Diplomat’. And certain people lap it up.
Sound ya.
It’s inspiring to see so many in the Irish-Muslim community take a stand against these awful murders. Hopefully scenes like [this](https://twitter.com/seamusdo/status/1515018227872636930?s=21&t=UMaGn5eUa2l9GVRoX1dQgw) one will get through to the radicalised and they’ll realise that homophobia has no place here.
There is no intersectionality between Muslims and gay people. The idea that they’re both marginalised groups “on the same side” is absurd.
Also the way this guy tweets you’d genuinely think that two Muslims had been killed
I am all for immigration into this country. I firmly believe that having a diverse nation is good for us all.
What I do not like is this shift we have seen in the past few days, very similar to the “Irish Mammies” getting the blame for Aisling Murphy. To the basically nothing to see here now that the murderer is not Irish.
What do need the left calling those who ask questions about motives far right, islamaphobic or xenophobic.
We also do not need those on the right who have for years spouted and supported homophobia now finding concern for the LGBT+ community and demanding that all foreigners be removed.
Time for calm rational thinking about this, time for dialogue with the Muslim community let them know we are here for them and make it safe for them to report any radicalised members of their communities.
We do not need to to turn into the UK, we do need a Tommy Robinson type figure here, but of we keep going to the extremes we will have one.
The inner conflict all these clowns are having trying to support lgbt people but not being allowed to criticise Islam’s view of gay people is hilarious.
Islamaphobia is wrong, mistreating or discriminating against someone on the basis of their religion is wrong. Criticising a belief system or its values is okay, its basic logic, why can’t any of these people see that?
That’s some tweet
