Weather wonders, it’s snowing in Slovenia

Temperatures in Slovenia have dropped so low that the country’s highest peaks are experiencing July snow.

Snow has fallen on surfaces that are about 2,200 meters above sea level, the Slovenian Environmental Agency has announced.

Footage has shown the first signs of July snow in Kredarica and Kanin.

Kredarica is an important point for weather monitoring, as it is home to Slovenia’s highest meteorological station at 2,514 meters above sea level.
