  1. Good morning u/a-liquid-sky

I’ve lost another 2lb this week, so in total, its 2st 10lb since February.

I’m not expecting the same results on the next weigh-in as it’s my birthday this week, and I’m having a Chinese, and my daughter is making her extra yummy biscoff cheesecake [insert homer drooling meme]

  2. Gave the presentation at the second stage job interview and was told “Thank you for that impressive presentation. We’ll get back to you tomorrow”.

3 hours later, they emailed to say “Can you come in to meet the team on Thursday?” so I’m taking that as a good sign.

  3. I’m finally on annual leave! Off to Antwerp tomorrow and I can’t wait to drink good beer and eat fritessaus. Then Friday is my birthday. I’m travelling solo so I’ll see if I have the nerve to check out a few bars

  4. That big yellow thing in the sky is sizzling away nicely and looks to do so for the next week or so. Apart from us all being sweaty betties and the sleepless nights, I guess it’s kind of a win? ☀️😌

  5. We were treated to an incredible theatre show the other day:

To set the stage: we live in a block of flats with an ‘internal’ garden. This is an area slightly smaller than a basketball court composed of benches, hedges, raised beds etc. overlooked on all sides by ~100 flats.

We have regularly seen a couple walk their cat through the internal garden on a leash.

Today this couple attempted to walk their cat through the internal garden without the leash…

The cat, thrilled with its newfound freedom, has decided that a 20 minute walk is insufficient and has declined to return to its owner.

For the rest of the day the couple has attempted to recapture him while the cat enjoys the exciting game of running under a hedge anytime someone comes near him.

A number of people tried to catch the cat including the cat’s owner, the cat owner’s wife, a gardener, a delivery courier and passing residents of all ages.

It was an immersive experience for the entire family.

Even when not looking out the window we could still listen to the show:

    ‘Come here kitty, come here’

    ‘Come here kitty’

    ‘Pspspspspspsps’

    ‘Come here its me’

    ‘MRAOW’

    ‘FOR GOODNESS SAKE’

After spending about 8 hours enjoying this game the cat eventually decided it was time for some dinner then a nap and returned to its owner.

  6. Actully got some sleep last night, for a change. So I’m up showered, got two job aplications out, and feeling nearly human.

  7. We’ve done 2 live shows (out of 6) so far and they’ve gone really really well! Great audience reactions and my lighting has received a lot of praise (even from a reviewer that was in the audience on the first night).

It’s just been a really nice experience. This is my first time operating lights and it’s been great to have a fairly complicated show run smoothly.

  8. I discovered I have a b12 deficiency and I finally feel well again after years of symptoms. It feels great to finally not feel so exhausted all the time!

  9. FINALLY!!!!!

the fucking bastard cunting arsehole bat bastard fucking surver is in and the council have seen it and the planning has moved on a bit…

i like bats don’t get me wrong but they had really really better keep out of my fucking way for a good 2 years at the moment.

that said… its a win to get a bit progress on the planning.
