European intelligence officials warn that a Russian sabotage campaign is escalating

1. Because there are no consequences. Imagine what the US would do if the Russians tried any of this.

   Yes. Thats the reason they wont do it. Bullies only go as far as the first punches get thrown back. Thats their line.

2. We should send a couple guys to go fuck up their shit. We could probably do it better than the Russian goon squads… or better yet just start blowing shit up.

3. Every sabotage should increase Ukraine aid.

4. Perhaps us Europeans should do something about it?

   Isn’t it a bit silly that russia is waging a war against us, even if it’s a hybrid one and they are pushing the boundaries to see what they can get away with, and we mostly just sit on our thumbs?

5. Wow you mean to tell me that basically shouting from the rooftops about how terrified you are about a war with Russia plus basically no real consequences for their increasing sabotage and hybrid warfare campaign resulted in them escalating?

6. It’s super frustrating to realize just how many levels this hybrid warfare is happening on, and how it’s even boosting anti-democratic parties. The whole social media manipulation thing just adds to it, making everything feel really overwhelming.

   But thankfully, a little hope remains, because we’re not just sitting ducks. Democracies are actually getting way smarter, super fast. We’re teaming up globally to shut these operations down. Plus, there’s a huge push to make everyone, especially younger folks, savvier about what they see online. When we know how they’re trying to trick us, their power just fades. We’re fighting back by getting smarter, and that’s our best weapon.

8. So, war. They are conducting “special military operations in several countries”…

9. And why wouldn’t Russia escalate? Th3 consequences so far have been a tut-tut here and a frowning there.

10. Seize ships and companies involved, arrest and prosecute all saboteurs, evict Russian diplomats implicated. Use frozen Russian funds to pay for the damages and divert Russian assets to arm Ukraine as retaliation for every attack.

    Russia must feel pain and consequences for its actions or it won’t stop.

11. These are acts of war and these spineless politicians won’t do anything about it. Russia only understands violence and gets calmed down like a barking dog when scolded : they love violating airspace to provoke, turkey shot their aircraft down and russia did nothing. Now russia keeps violating western airspace except turkey’s.
