  1. By Ellie Cook and Shane Croucher – Security & Defense Reporter:

NATO’s Poland scrambled fighter jets as Russia launched a huge missile and drone attack on Ukraine.

The Polish Operational Command of the Armed Forces said it had activated “all available forces and resources” in response to the attack.

This included scrambling pairs of fighter jets and putting ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems at “the highest state of readiness”.

“The measures taken are aimed at ensuring security in areas bordering the threatened regions,” Operational Command said in a post on X, originally in Polish.

  2. Time to start protecting ukrainian skies, not just our own

  3. In response…:)) Shaheds and missiles were scared af. Russians were dying in laughing because of these decisive actions.

  4. The fucking ads don’t let me read the article at all.

  5. Here come the armchair generals saying that starting a war would be a great idea

  6. Does anyone know if it would be theoretically possible to shoot down at least *some* drones and missiles while staying inside polish airspace? So that We could at least protect a part of Ukraine. I can’t imagine Russia would/could retaliate in that case.

  7. Gotta start shooting them murder drones and rockets down finally!

  8. Thoughts and prayers to brave pilots, who are tirelessly scrambling for the second year 🫡

  9. Fucking clickbait headline. Was adding ´on Ukraine´ *that* difficult?

  10. If only we had a few decision-makers with actual balls and who cared for anything more than just being re-elected (for example, the lives of innocent civilians in Ukraine), NATO would have at least extended a security corridor of 100km or so on the border between NATO and Ukraine, taking down any incoming missile/drone.

  11. It’s a pity the US didn’t take out Iran’s drone building ability while it was blowing up mountains.

  12. Why does Nato always have to “scramble” them in news articles?

Reality is that Nato is 24/7 on alert with dedicated fighter jets ready to defend Nato territory. Russia will not stand a chance if they’re trying to attack us by conventional means.
