  1. Makes me sick, how the hell can you justify a 12% interest rate on the exact people who have been screwed over so much the last few years. Give me a damn savings account with a 12% interest rate then, bitches

  2. If I was a new graduate I would just emigrate and default on my loans.

£3,000 in interest is greater than the visa fees to a nice warm country.

  3. A disgrace in the first place that education should put people in debt. But that aside, it should have been at a fixed rate.

  4. Where do most student loans go to?
Housing!! Student accommodation been ripping off students for far too long!
    £500 a month for a sh**y room with a microwave in it.
That’s the real problem here is housing.

  5. Debt is the how you keep the poor poor. Social mobility with student loans, low paid jobs, increasing cost of living and high rent. When will young people be able to build wealth for retirement? Never.

  6. I’ve just accepted that I’m going to be perpetually poor forever even with an accounting degree and 2 years experience

  7. It was sold off by the Tories to private companies 2 or 3 years ago. Expect it to go up. Hope bailiffs don’t come citing some obscure clause in the contract we signed as a naive teenager.
