Family of British couple held in Iran receives update on their location after month of uncertainty

The family of a British couple, Lindsay and Craig Foreman, who were arrested in Iran on espionage charges in January, has received confirmation that the pair are still being held in the city of Kervan, according to a report in The Guardian. The couple’s son stated they had not known their location for a month and, for the past two weeks, feared they might have been killed in a reported Israeli bombing of Tehran’s Evin prison on June 23. The family was previously informed the couple was due to be moved to Tehran around June 8, but the UK Foreign Office confirmed on Tuesday, July 8, that they remained in Kervan.
