Overnight on July 9th (starting 8:00 PM July 8th), Russia launched 741 aerial attacks on Ukraine:
• 728 Shahed-type attack UAVs and decoy drones from: Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo (Russia)
• 7 Kh-101 / Iskander-K cruise missiles from: Engels (Saratov region) and Kursk region (Russia)
• 6 Kh-47M2 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles from: Lipetsk airspace (Russia)

❗️Main target direction: Volyn region, city of Lutsk.

Ukraine’s defense used fighter aircraft, SAM units, electronic warfare, drone systems, and mobile fire groups to repel the attacks.

🛡️ As of 8:30 AM, preliminary results from air defense:
• 718 targets neutralized:
• 303 shot down by firepower
• 415 jammed/lost via EW systems
• 296 Shaheds/drones destroyed by firepower, 415 suppressed via EW
• All 7 cruise missiles shot down

Missile/drone hits were confirmed in 4 locations, and wreckage from interceptions fell in 14 more.

    A large number of strike UAVs were used. In parallel with the drone attack, strikes were carried out with aeroballistic missiles “Kinzhal”, and at the end of the attack cruise missiles appeared in the airspace.

    The attack was aimed mainly at Lutsk, Zhytomyr and Ozerne.

    During the night and morning of 09.07.2025, the defense forces destroyed:

    ❗/❗️ 7/7 Kh-101/”Iskander-K” cruise missiles.

    ❗ 0/6 Kh-47M2 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles.

    ⚠️ 296/728 strike “Shahedi”/”Gerber” and imitation UAVs.

  9. Massive attack, but also massive rates of shooting them down. If it was a build up to suddenly overwhelm, it didnt work to well… if its what they got to come going forward, then its gonna be rough and AA is a massive priority.

  13. Russia has really ramped up its production over time. It’s pretty insane :S Russia might not win, but it is inflicting terror and devastation on a large scale nonetheless.
