I don’t know if this appropriate it or not, but I am a HUGE fan of Andy the Highlander. I finally met him for the first while he was giving a tour and he is the most sweetest person ever :)) I hope to meet him again so he could sign his book that I bought in December :))

  1. Not a scooby who this is, but you know it’s always great when you meet your icons and they are actually great

  2. Professional cosplayer hamming it up for the tourists.

    Best of luck to him

  3. These folk aren’t native ‘Highlanders’ I don’t think, but the Highlands is for everyone. If he’s bringing folk into the area to enjoy the scenery and culture while respecting that it’s not a playground, he’s doing good work.

  4. He’s a sound dude and as you can see from his tour prices he’s raking it in for our tourism department. Been meaning to get his book.

  5. Good to see someone making a success out of the tourist trade.

Better him than Co-OP and whichever parasitic conglomerate rents out campervans.

  6. Good fella, met him working as an extra on some TV show.

It might have actually been Outlander, can’t remember.

  7. I don’t know who he is, or who you are… but I’m happy for you. Well done!

  8. I think I saw him giving a tour once. No idea who he is, but he seemed lovely so I should watch it.

  9. Andy the highlander is my dad’s cousin! Whatever that makes him to me. He’s a great guy!

  10. Not a clue who this guy is, but if you like him and were excited to meet him, I’m glad he lived up to it.

It’s also nice to see him behaving himself as a guide and making sure his groups are respectful. If more tourists were respectful, we maybe wouldn’t have 3/4 of this thread bashing an industry that many places heavily depend on, even if it is a love hate relationship.

  11. Either you’re 6’3 or He’s 5’6. Please enlighten.

  12. I love Andy the Highlander!!! Oh you lucky lucky thing.
