Poland come long way and we all should be proud of the progress
But 1995 is a weird pick
Poland started growing fast due to how brutal was Balcerowicz
But I think Romania might be beating us of we extend timeline to 1990
Thats pretty good. Although a significant part of that growth was all the EU money transferred to Poland
Italy having nay growth is a surprise.
Where are the jobs, kurwa?
yet, I would be really scared if we had Polexit referendum these days as I think the number of idiots voting for it would exceed 50%. Just because they don’t like some aspects of some of EU politics.
Without EU we would be somewhere around Serbia’s level.
That’s great of course, but comparing us to Italy doesn’t make much sense, because in 1995 their GDP per capita was higher than in Poland in 2022
Poland is a grower confirmed
It is important to note in some cases like Hungary, you can stick the GDP per capita into your ass. GDP growth in the past 10 years were completely fake and/or EU support based which is finally visible now. Also does not reflect the high inequality in society not mentioning healthcare, education and so on.
Naturally this is not true in case of Poland, just good to remember not to fall into this partly misleading numbers as the Hungarian society did. Poland is a true miracle, keep it like that (wanna move soon).
Ah yes, Pekabistan again, we are growing on paper and suffering in reality.
and in demographics we are close behind Japan and South Korea.
Much worse than Czech Republic for example.
We’re fucked.
There is nothing to celebrate.
Poles still think that our current situation is bad…
The problem with percentages is as follows:
* When all you have is 1 zł and you find a 5 zł coin in the street, that’s a 500% growth, an incredibly amazing growth rate.
* If you have 100 million zł and earn one million złoty, that’s a 1% growth, a pretty shitty growth rate (even below inflation, lol)
In which of these two situations would you like to find yourself? 🙂
