Tump, Boris, Brexit, potentially Le Pen. They are all symptoms of politicians ignoring real world problems and declining living standards of their populations in favour of vacuous fluff.
Unfortunately the chattering classes, and the politicians who work for their lobbyist funding have yet to learn that lesson.

2.- It really shows how broken our World is when the economy is more important than the people that would be harassed by her policies (e.g. Muslims residing in France)
A Macron victory would also lead to a financial crisis. It’s pretty much a given due to how COVID was handled (shuttering the world economy for 2 years, noone thought the bill would not come due for that?), with the Ukraine mess just compounding that.
This isn’t an argument. We’re already in a recession, with very high inflation.
