The annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic rose 2.9% in June 2025 from 2.4% in the previous month, confirming initial estimates and market forecasts.

This marked the highest reading since December 2024, supported by higher prices in most sub-indices such as food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.2% vs 5.4% in May), recreation and culture (4.2% vs 3.9%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (4.1% vs 3.7%), miscellaneous goods and services (3.4% vs 3.2%), furnishings, household equipment and maintenance (2% vs 1.4%), housing and utilities (2% vs 1.9%) and education (1.3% vs 1.1%).

Meanwhile, costs fell at a slower pace for transport (-1.5% vs -3.3%) and clothing and footwear (-1.5% vs 1.9%).

On a monthly basis, consumer prices grew by 0.3%, easing from a 0.5% gain in May.
