Sure joining NATO seems like a good idea now, but just wait until the next George W Bush comes along and wants to invade the entire Middle East
Given current context, it makes sense. When there is a crazy violent psychotic person in the neighborhood the more peace-minded rational people are going to band together.
I just don’t understand Russia’s long game. There’s no environment that ends well.
