Hi everyone,
My friend is currently in the process of getting my foreign qualifications recognized in Germany (Anerkennung) and have applied for financial assistance to cover exam fees and document verification fees. He is applied for support from Agentur für Arbeit
His question is:
Will receiving this kind of financial help count as “Sozialhilfe” or social assistance that could negatively affect his application for permanent residency (Niederlassungserlaubnis) or German citizenship (Einbürgerung)?
Or is this considered different from ongoing social welfare like Bürgergeld or Grundsicherung?
If anyone has experience with this or knows the legal details (especially regarding SGB rules),
I’d really appreciate your insights!
He received some letter regarding that, I have attached the images.

Section 10 (1) 3.
Only SGB II and XII are an issue for naturalization.
Also those not ban you forever or so, because this seems to be a common believe somehow.
For a residency permit I don’t know. But the relevant laws are usually translated into English.
I’m curious, why in the first place?
