ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The family of an Israeli hostage is calling for his safe return with the help of Gov. Brian Kemp.
Evyatar David, 24, was taken hostage by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023, while attending the Nova Music Festival.
He was later identified on video as one of multiple hostages, bound and pleading for help.
Evyatar’s brother, Ilay, alongside family and friends, has been raising alarms about hostage conditions and advocating for his safe return home.
Kemp is meeting with the David family on Thursday ahead of remarks at the State Capitol, where he is expected to call for the release of Evyatar and the other Israeli hostages currently in captivity in Gaza.
Atlanta News First will stream Kemp’s remarks live on ANF+ at 2:40 p.m.
The news conference comes as Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, meets with President Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and members of Congress to discuss the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
