MAGA Attacks “Woke” Immigrant Superman

Superman has gone woke. That is the message that we’re getting out of this latest MAGA meltdown. Right in that is James Gunn, the writer and director of the new Superman movie, is having to defend himself from a wave of right-wing backlash after saying that Superman’s story is an immigrant story. You know, I should explain that the the whole thing it started over the weekend when the Times of London published an interview with Gun where he said, quote, I mean, Superman is the story of America, an immigrant that came from other places and populated the country, but for me, it is mostly a story that says basic human kindness is a value and is something we’ve lost. Right. And all of this is I don’t know how many people out there have like no working knowledge about Superman, but I mean he is he’s a literal alien. If he’s an immigrant crossing the border, he’s he crossed the border into Earth. But still, despite all that context, the usual suspects reacted in the usual ways. As you know, when Fox News covered James Guns’s comments, they put the phrase superwoke on the Chiron and said things like, “Well, I think that I’m in at no risk of uh hurting my 22-year streak of not going to the movie theater. I got to look at the script and uh he’s from Uganda and there’s a love scene with Batman and Robin. We don’t go to the movie theater to be lectured to and to have somebody throw their ideology onto us. I wonder if it’ll be successful. You know what it says on his cape? MS13

    Superman is about the humane treatment of others and striving to protect all life on Earth .

    It wasn't that hard to create an accurate statement.

  14. How hateful do you have to be to rebel against a movie that is not depicting a real story?!!!…Ot is NOT a documentary, or a biography. It is fantasy morons…please don't go to the movies…the rest of us who want to watch it, don't want you there in the first place 😊

  27. Superman has ALWAYS been… well… An illegal alien. Literally. And a reporter too! But what impresses me the most is that people working in the news didn't notice him being an immigrant until someone pointed it out, almost like he's sup… oh wait.
