Has a petition on that website ever changed anything?
> can no longer be said to represent the views of the Irish people they are paid to represent.
We’d have an empty Dail based on this criteria.
They’re just embarrassing at this point.
I don’t know what’s more embarrassing, Daly and Wallace, or someone starting a petition against them.
A right pair of twats well b4 they sided with putty putin !!
There’s a major official petition organised every five years. It’s called an election. The people who vote in their respective constituencies are the only ones who can sack them
Their stance isn’t really surprising, it’s not like they’ve changed since they were elected.
They were voted in. They’ve earned their seats. Simple as that.
Maybe we should be talking about our democratic system instead. Let’s be honest, it’s hardly a stellar system when any thick cunt or fruitcake that’s over 18 is given the power to influence who runs our political institutions. You can’t drive a car without passing a test to prove you’re fit to manage the responsibility of driving, yet the the power of choosing who to run the country is just handed to people with zero vetting. It’s absurd really.
Nah. Leave it to the voters at the next election. We are very lucky to live in a society with a robust and transparent system of democracy (a system this pair and their comrades – several of whom are finally out of bed and getting upset here – have zero respect for, but are happy enough to make a decent living from).
They don’t have the moral decency to accept that their views on the Ukrainian war are **completely wrong**, and their pro-Russian antics in the lead-up to the war were no more simplistic populist shite.
Both of these parlimentarians did not hide this aspect of their politics. It was the same grandstanding in the Dáil and was available for everyone who put voted for them. Endorsing those opinions.
If your upset at their behaviour. Email them and resolve to vote against them at the next election. Calling on someone to resign for holding the same opinions they were elected with is the same level of gobshitery that the fuel protesting bollockses on Monday tried to pull.
Spend time with your family or something man good god
They were elected, a petition is stupid. If you voted for them and didn’t know their stances on Russia, NATO or any other matter, you were a bit of a nob for voting for them in the first place. Vote them out in 24. The scary thing is, they’d get voted in as a TD in 25. Shell easily get 15% of the vote.
This is what you take a stand on? Two obscure MEPS with really little power.
Call for the resignation of every politician from every party, they are all parasites
Why ?
Surely this is a representative democracy of some description ?
If you don’t agree with their statements then maybe you could write to them or ask the people that vote for them ?
As far as I can tell their points were that NATO have a large amount of blame in this, which is true. That we should control arms supplies to Ukraine and not flood weapons into the country, which is true. Ukraine has always been a hub for arms trafficking and we have no way to control what happens to the weapons the west sends there. And they said the focus should be on peace negotiations, and I honestly am dumbfounded by anyone who can’t agree with that. I don’t see the problem with the points she made in the European Parliament at all. If you dispute anything I’ve said here I’d love to hear an argument that makes sense to refute it.
Absolutely and immediately.
Change.org couldn’t change a light bulb. The way to get rid of them is through the ballot box.
As much as I hate their politics, they do represent the people who voted for them. They’ve also never been quiet about their anti-western stances, so it’s not like the people who voted for them have been duped.
Though I don’t support them I also don’t support cancel culture. The only poll that matters is the official one that when they come up for reelection.

If they really wanted to try and recall/remove them they should have filled out one of the petition forms here [oireachtas.ie/online_petitions](https://petitions.oireachtas.ie/online_petitions.nsf/PetitionForm?openform&type=intro+to+petitions&lang=EN&r=0.1499667039264181)
