They probably will still fetch it via some sketchy third party import. Like they do with weapon exports already. “A parliamentary vote is required to export weapons? Ah, so let’s just deal with it via Italian sub-companies!”
paywalled? what’s the oil to natural gas ratio?
The only way to stop this war is to defeat Russians. Overall, banningoil imports serves the greens cause they want to see combustion engines dead, which might happen sooner due to ridiculous petrol price.
Could someone explain me why Germany can’t stop this sooner? I’m wondering not only behind the politics but also the economics of Germany and what consequences the Germans would suffer if they would drop it right now not by the end of the year.
Does she explain how they plan to do that ?
Because if I’m not wrong Germany doesn’t have any LNG terminal so from where will the missing gas come ?
By year end? So, they’re going to do it in a timeframe that it will completely not matter to Russia? German politicians are the biggest cowards in the world.
………The Victator is gonna fuck up the integrity of this joint effort, isnt he….

Just to add some numbers: According to 2019 data from [here](https://beyond-coal.eu/russian-fossil-fuel-tracker/), oil and coal imports from Russia are about twice as much as gas imports. Germany has also started to reduce imports of Russian gas and [announced](https://www.dw.com/en/germany-earmarks-3-billion-for-floating-lng-terminals/a-61480593) deployment of floating LNG “terminals”, but bringing gas imports to zero might take longer.
