Labour leads in latest Senedd election poll, suggesting it’s wrong to write off the party’s chances

  1. Polls are polls. i’m surprised they are publishing something based on 400 interviews. i see 1000 were done, but then it gets cut to 400.

  2. That’s encouraging but the polling doesn’t seem to be very representative: “*The results include those aged 16 and over who expressed support for a party and who said they were at least 90% certain of voting in a Senedd election. Fieldwork took place between June 2 and June 22 2025. Some 1,000 interviews were carried out online, with the results based on 400 respondents who fulfilled the required criteria. The sample is a representative cross-section of Wales’ adult population.”*

  3. I think reform doing so well in the English local elections is really helping to show people how unserious of an option they actually are

  4. I expected a graph or map from nation.cymru.  Reading a list of percentages is… not ideal 🙂

  5. This poll seems to be taking into account likelihood to vote. Reform are aware that getting people to actually vote will be an issue and will be working hard on that between now and May. A lot hinges on turnout, Labour and Plaid voters are more likely to actually go and vote.

  6. Reform are doing so well because we have to consider the elephant in the room: most people aren’t as progressive as we think them to be. The silent majority not seen in these echo chambers.

  7. Labour are fuckin useless. If they win in Wales, I will halt my move home.
