  1. Not good enough. Got to go. Error of judgement in attending the party (or even parties), that falls under “shit happens”. The next 9 months of lies, a blabbering apology is not enough.

  2. But notably he didn’t apologise for lying to Parliament.

Or for the other 20-odd parties.

Or for his incredible lack of judgement throughout.

    Or for undermining UK democracy.

  3. Sorry?! You CANT apologise to the thousands of people like myself who’s loved ones died alone because we followed the rules. What a disgrace. Resign!!!

  4. I wonder if he had some say in when it was announced…it’s a week before the next PMQs, Starmer will be painted as ‘dwelling on it when the country [Boris] is clearly ready to move on’ if he brings it up next week.

  5. Are the Police dealing with this one party at a time? If that’s the case he may be in line for a number more fines based on the reports of all the parties he attended

  6. Wears a Ukrainian badge in the video in an attempt to pretend he’s some great war leader who is integral to the Ukrainian war effort. Cynical as you like.

  7. There was no party
There was a party but I’m told all guidance was followed
There was a party but I didn’t attend a party
There was a party and I went to it but I didn’t know it was a party
There was a party but I was ambushed with cake

Boomers: I trust this guy. Cons +4

  8. Paying a £50 fine to make everyone forget that you aren’t playing by the same rules that you’re forcing everyone else to play by isn’t going to cut it.

  9. I am feeling really hopeless about our democracy at the moment. Maybe I’m just a leftist fool but I really feel like the tories are holding the public hostage at this point, and it sucks knowing there’s basically nothing I can do about it!

  10. Did he get an FPN for each party he lied about? If so he should lose his PMs license and have to hold a by-election for his seat. I’m sure the beak will be lenient and say he needs his license for work but that could lead to all the victims sueing him in the civil courts.
Death by dangerous partying. That’ll ruin his no claims bonus.

  11. He did not apologise. He lied with the largest amount of waffle yet, hoping the public would be gullible enough to eat it all up. Anyone who does needs to question their critical thinking skills because Johnson is more than intelligent enough to know what he was doing and why it was wrong. He just had the hubris to believe he was above the rules and would never be found out.

  12. I wonder what Boris and the Tories would have to do to actually not just get away with it? Absolutely nothing touches them and their diehard supporters still go on about Boris being a good bloke doing a hard job and people should lay off him. It’s depressing frankly.

  13. lets not forget ‘lockdown’ breaking equates to ‘law’ breaking

he was telling us the law every bloody night and then claims ignorance

clinging to power just underlines his lack of decency and his greed for power
