The M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1 of Mārtiņš Sesks will run a new livery at next week’s Rally Estonia.
For the WRC round closest to the Latvian’s home, a revised color scheme on Sesks’ Puma features the red and white of his country’s national flag, decorated with what Sesks describes as “traditional Latvian signs of strength”.
It was on the similar fast gravel stages of Poland and Latvia that Sesks so impressed on his first Rally1 outings last year. After a difficult run of recent events, Sesks will be keen to give his home fans plenty to shout about in neighboring Estonia.
“Rally Estonia will feel like a home event for us this year,” said Sesks. “For sure there will be lots of Latvian fans out spectating and lots of Latvian flags in the crowds which is always great to see.
“I’m really looking forward to having those home-crowd emotions again – it really is one of the most valuable things you can have. Of course I’m also looking forward to the rally itself and to being back on fast gravel.
“Let’s see how it goes and hopefully we can find a good feeling in the car and have a really great weekend. We’re looking forward to it.”
