Just struck me how far right parties always refuse to call themselves far right, even to the point of claiming they are arent even on the left-right axis, while the lefties carry their far leftism as a badge of honor
There are only two things I can’t stand in this world…
If you rule out two opposites… Mainly the slogan means “Not wing”, I presume.
Bonus Joke: The officially-disbanded-but-kinda-not far-right-AfD-group “Der Flügel” is called Die Flosse sometimes. Ha!
This is the problem with the left. This party was economically very much socialist and had a strong green agenda (already in the 80s). They also happen to be strict on immigration which immediately gave it the ‘extreme right’ label.
This is a perfect example of labelling people you don’t agree with in a bad way so you can ignore their opinions. Even when you agree on pretty much all other policies.
No, you need to get every single checkmark before you can be called a ‘left-wing’ party. Miss only one of them and you’re a nazi.
Man we should stop defining our parties by the american left-right system
>Slogan: “Not right-wing, not left-wing”
Dutch Macron
De zeenter partij
Actually an incredibly forward thinking party even back then. They were only “right wing” in their opinion on illegal migrants. It’s a shame that their good ideas were marred by the left slating them as far right extremists purely because the party didn’t want a stream of illegal migrants into The Netherlands
My first political memories that really stuck are that of Ruud Lubbers (CDA/PM) with his awkward news updates and the accompanied meme before memes existed _”tuut, tuut, tuut, de groetjes van Ruud”_ by boomer comedian André van Duijn AND that of superuberracist Hans Janmaat, leader of CP86 and later Centrum Democraten. Needless to say I’ve been having trouble taking politicians seriously ever since.
It’s funny how most people insist they’re the reasonable ones in the centre.
It’s like how China is clearly the ‘Middle Kingdom’. There exist at least some people in all directions, so obviously.
By Wodan!

Is this far-right with us in the room rn?
and still they’re 60% surinamese
We also got a Centre Party in Norway.
They don’t want any centers. They are peasants.
a shining example of dutch center democracy
deport immigrants
Three lefts make a right
Also, most coherent Dutchie
The Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), officially a centre right religious party, had a slogan: We do not bow to the left and we do not bow to the right. Meanwhile, they were close to far right and have been ever since.
We do it the other way round: one of our most centrist parties is called Radical Left.
Just like the Norwegian “Senterpartiet”
Least confused Dutchie
Everything is extreme right according to the internet if you’re not mentally unstable
