  1. Wales rejected changing the voting system back in 2011 by a substantial margin. So the current system is literally what they voted for back then.

  2. Everyone hates FPTP until they win from it.

    Reform say they want to change that but I would happily put money on them forgetting that quickly if they ever win.

    Proportional representation would be a far better system IMO and I think we should all be pressuring all politicians to push for that.

  3. And isn’t it funny that Reform isn’t talking about PR anymore now that they’re the highest polling party.

  4. It’ll be interesting to see the impact on the Gallagher index at the next Senedd elections (yes I know this article is about WM elections). Even before the reform polling bump, the voting system reforms were never going to benefit Labour in Wales, so I have some respect for a party backing a (“good”) policy that is not in their own interests.
