More gal than the average reddit commenter.
Pretty fucking normal thing to decide.
Unless you think people’s health isn’t important and your pet prestige projects are…
Oh my, this level of “logic” trying to argue what you want is good and what others want is bad… I haven’t seen this since… my days in highschool.
And on places like reddit, there may be some correlation there.
To me this whole thing signals pretty clearly: N-VA views Oosterweel as a prestige project and public health is only a concern when it’s convenient to say so in the news.
Ben… Are you arguing health and environmental concerns are secondary to big projects? The soil is heavily polluted due to decades of environmental negligence of the Flemish and local governments. That you can’t just drill and dig that soil up is evident.
FTFY
Maybe we should put all that soil in the backyards of Bart De Wever and Ben Weyts.
So relocate services out of Antwerp instead ? I don’t understand why companies per se want to persist being in the centre which is maybe good for image but a hassle for everything else.
Will The Netherlands still want to be united with Flanders?
The party that stopped investing in Flemish infrastructure is upset about stopping Flemish infrastructure.
Oh it’s about even more money getting funneled into Antwerp and all their crook friends who will be impacted.
ben weyts is nefast voor vlaanderen
Council of state: You cant prove / guarantee that the way you’re working now wont further spread PFAS through the air (because you’re moving contaminated soil without processing it first), so you gotta shut down untill you can either prove that its fine or change the way you do it so its ok
Weyts: Wow thats like very uncool and that makes it really hard to make big projects happen
Wtf are you doing man. Its not hard. Want to do a big project? Follow the rules.
Weyts literally going on record saying ‘geez having to actually follow all these rules and regulations is going to make it really hard to do big projects’ seems like he’s saying the silent part out loud.
NVA philosophy in a nutshell, servicing their corpo buddies is all that matters, public health and safety doesn’t even make their list of concerns.
