Pakistan terror attack: Pakistani security forces on Saturday claimed to have foiled an attack on a police station in the country’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. According to police officials, around 12 armed terrorists took positions and attempted to attack the Gambila Police Station in the Lakki Marwat district late on Friday.
However, they were spotted by an on-duty police officer and forced to retreat after police action. Authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported, and all personnel at the police station remained unharmed.
Following the attack, a search operation was launched to trace the escape routes of the terrorists. Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hamid commended the Lakki Marwat police for their courage and prompt action in foiling the attack. “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is fully committed to protecting citizens and countering the conspiracies of anti-peace elements under all circumstances,” he said.
