The cyclical systemic risks in Greece for the third quarter of 2025 are low and the risk environment standard, the Bank of Greece (BoG) said in its quarterly assessment on Thursday.

The quarterly assessment of the intensity of cyclical systemic risks and the appropriateness of the countercyclical capital buffer rate for Greece takes into account the standardized credit-to-GDP gap, the buffer guide and, in particular, additional indicators for monitoring the build-up of cyclical systemic risks, BoG said in its report.

As the central bank noted, “overall, cyclical systemic risks in Greece for the third quarter of 2025 are assessed as low and the risk environment as standard.”

It added that it has maintained the countercyclical capital buffer rate for Greece unchanged at 0.25%, applicable as of October 1.
