Honestly kind of surprised this has not been an official thing yet, and still relies on donations to happen.
GPS on dementia/similar issued people would massively help to protect them should something happen and they go missing.
It’s a good idea in theory, but it always ends up in tyranny.
My nan, may she rest in peace, had dementia. One day, my father was driving through a town some 15 miles from her home, and spotted her walking along the side of the road.
She thought she was in her village. She’d caught a bus to the next stop, for an undetermined reason, and ended up 15 miles away. Sheer luck that my dad spotted her.

This tech didn’t exist at the time.
This is a good thing.
