Queen Camilla has revealed that King Charles is quite the entertainer when it comes to his grandchildren, doing a fantastic impression of Harry Potter. In her podcast with author Sir Ian Rankin, The Queen’s Reading Room, Camilla shared that Charles often does these impressions during bedtime stories.
The 76-year-old Royal is known for being very involved with his three eldest grandchildren—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis, children of Prince William and Princess Kate. His two youngest grandchildren, six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet, live in the US with their parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Camilla disclosed that King Charles enjoys impersonating Harry Potter and friends, saying: “I think the one I enjoyed reading more than anything else was Harry Potter. All the stories.
“I can’t mimic voices for love or money, I’m completely hopeless at it.

“I was a really bad actor at school, and I’ve never been able to master the art of mimicry, but my husband does it brilliantly; he can do all the voices,” reports the Express.
The Queen’s Reading Room began as an Instagram book club for literature enthusiasts during the pandemic. In February 2023, it evolved into a charity aiming to celebrate the power and benefits of reading.
When Prince George arrived in 2013, the King expressed his elation at becoming a granddad, remarking: “Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone’s life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time.”
After welcoming his second grandchild and first granddaughter, the King joyfully shared: “I am thrilled. I was hoping for a granddaughter – someone to look after me when I am very old.”
A charming snapshot captured during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022 shows the King in an endearing exchange with young Prince Louis. At the event, a fidgety Louis requested to perch on his grandfather’s lap.
Adorable images captured the then-four-year-old giggling as the now-King bounced him on his knee.
