   Norway does the same thing, it is simply a sensible policy. Use money you earn with fossil fuel, which simply have an expiry date, to prepare for a green future.

2. Fossil fuel rich countries should all be implementing their own variations of China’s strategy.

They replace old inefficient coal plants for newer ones that are significantly more efficient and keep building them to and operate them on rotation at less than half of their capacity because they are being used to make up for unexpected solar shortfalls or higher than average demand (like hot or cold days).
