Anybody know what the story was here? Car had been left this evening on the beach but had to leave before I could find out what happened. Dying to know if they saved it or if it’s now underwater

Have saw this so many times on various beaches you can drive on. There are loads that get stuck on the sand and that is one thing. But those that abandon their car and then the tide comes in around it with the owner nowhere to be seen is just weird.
Ats my motor so it is.
Left er ther 2 get a bottle of Buckfast.
Be rite as rain in da mornin.
Didn even haf 2 pay for parkin.

Saw it happen at Downhill more than a few times
Wonder did the driver get a sinking feeling?
Saw that once sitting at Harry’s Shack for dinner several years ago. WTF lets theirs car get taken by the tide?
No story.
Tides come n go.
Owner/driver neglected their vehicle.
Never ceases to amaze me. We were on Benone in May just watching one car after another getting stuck. And you’d see people drive almost as close as possible to the place where a tractor or pickup would be pulling out a stuck cars only to (obviously) get stuck.
At Ballylifin beach last year there was just a whole heap of cars getting stuck and some fella in an old massey pulling them out one by one.
Was on another beach in Donegal earlier this year when a Fiesta with NI plates drove down on to the beach then well out into the tidal area and started driving around in circles. Not diffing, just driving around in circles. After about 10 minutes of very random driving, the mid 30s couple in said Fiesta must’ve decided it was time for warp speed so the driver just floored it and drove full speed into a little river that feeds into the sea, and got stuck immediately.
If in doubt, don’t drive on the beach.
Honest question – why do people feel the need to drive their cars onto the beach?
At this stage it’s beyond salvation
Voted the most beautiful beach in the UK FYI.
