Sunday has come around once again – Here's the place to tell us what you're going to be doing today.

  1. Promised the girls soft play this morning then remembered I have to take youngest to a party this afternoon. So soft play, then emergency shopping trip for gifts for the party, then kids party. I will also at some point have to do some exam board marking.

I’m ok with this weekend going fast though. One more week of term til summer holidays.

  2. I just had left over doner kebab for breakfast so you could say I’m living the ideal life. The British dream

  3. Day 2 of cheerfest today for me and my daughter, taking my mum too and my other daughter today. Weather will be hot, food will be expensive, but there’s a fucking huge bouncy castle and some other activities to do between performing and my daughter getting her participation medal.

  4. Woke up at 6am as there was a cold breeze coming in through the window. Had to get up to close it. Sweet bliss relief from the heat.

The other thing I noticed was all I could hear were parakeets and pigeons. I used to be woken up by songbirds – tits, chiffchaffs, starlings, robins, etc. Now it’s just pigeons and parakeets.

Today is a food shop now I feel like I can walk to the big supermarket down the hill and not die of heat exhaustion, then maybe a walk by the river.

  5. The sea mist is in, and the house is bearable. Beloved will be home from night shift in an hour. When she wakes up we’ll go and get the kids and go to the beach.

  6. Coming to terms with the fact I’ll never clear the bindweed as I’m surrounded, so I am going to have to work with it and train it where I want it to go 🤞🏻

  7. Happy Sunday!

Well it’s apparently another hot sunny day. I’m going go for a run before it becomes difficult.

I plan to do some life admin and then relax. I also plan to catch up with my friend so will give him a call and if he’s free, catch up with him.

I have some various fruits so I plan to make a smoothie and some homemade Jam.

This evening not got much on but will binge on some YouTube and get an early night.

  8. Last day of the crazy heat, so I’ll be doing sod all. If I walk outside to put something in the bins I’ll count that as exercise. I’ll probably watch the cricket, and I’m still working my way through the women’s boxing from Friday night on netflix.

All avoidable jobs indoors have been delayed for in the week although that said my house is probably the cleanest and most presentable inside and out it’s been in the four years I’ve lived here!

  9. Still hot, so sofa and book rather than the DIY planned.

  10. I was up early because I slept well despite the heat, I checked my digital thermometer at 4 am and it was 27 degrees in the bedroom.

I let the dog out for a wee and it felt cool, so we’ve just been to the park. Lots of other dog walkers out, a friendly bunch so the dogs got to play.

Home now and having a short rest before it’s breakfast, shower and work.

I’ll see how the heat is this evening and I may take her out again for a blast before bed.

  11. Having a chilled day after yesterday evening. The most I plan to do is some laundry and making dinner this evening. Other than that, I plan to be sat down with a book all day.

  12. Dealing with a toddler, and newborn, and trying to do stretches and exercises to help my back

Back pain sucks *so much*, if you’re young take note, you don’t want this!

  13. Waiting for my Switch 2 to be delivered and then will probably go for a walk in the local woodland for an hour or so, try and get out into the breeze and shade.

  14. The teenager has been on a mini break with the 6th form this weekend. Poor soul packed inadequately, and has suffered with heat and fashion related calamities.

Shes coming home today, and has already messaged me with pleas of desperation since 7. I’m off to buy supplies in for her return. Kid is in dire need of aftersun, Sudocreme and paracetamol.

Feeling strangely slightly validated though, because her and her Dad always laugh about how I literally pack everything for trips and “fanny about” too much. I’ve always been the butt of the joke because I prep for every eventuality.

She’s regretting not “fannying about” after doing her own packing this time. Many lessons were learned since Friday.

  15. Enjoying the slightly cooler morning. Wrapping my parents’ birthday presents, preliminary packing for visiting them, maybe some sock knitting, nothing too strenuous
