Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s relationship has often been the subject of speculation, with Meghan reportedly making a brutal comment about Kate that exposed the tension between them

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton might share the bond of marriage in the same family, but it’s widely known that the pair haven’t always gotten along perfectly.

After withdrawing from their Royal responsibilities in 2020, Meghan, 43, and Prince Harry, 40, have openly expressed their grievances about Royal existence and specific Royal Family members.

This became apparent during their 2021 sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, where they addressed the well-known bridesmaid dress conflict between Meghan and Kate, 43.

The disagreement, supposedly concerning Princess Charlotte’s poorly-fitted gown for Meghan and Harry’s nuptials, allegedly caused Kate distress.

Nevertheless, Meghan claimed that the circumstances were actually the opposite, reports the Express US.

While this rumored clash grabbed media attention, it seemingly wasn’t the sole problem between Meghan and Kate.

The Telegraph disclosed last year that the Duchess of Sussex was also supposedly frustrated in 2019 when she discovered herself positioned after Kate in priority for the newest creations from a prominent designer.

Meghan, who appreciated British designer Erdem Moraloglu’s creations before joining the Royal family, supposedly desired additional pieces from the designer, but Kate held first priority.

This supposedly created friction between the duo, with Meghan allegedly delivering a cutting three-word remark about Kate that underscored one of the persistent sources of conflict between the sisters-in-law.

The Telegraph claims that Meghan felt eclipsed by Kate, who is destined to become Queen, supposedly voicing annoyance over why Kate “wasn’t even Queen” got priority treatment. Rumors suggest that the established pecking order between the Royal sisters-in-law, determined by their noble titles, may have ignited their rift.

Meghan has acknowledged their differing personalities, confessing she’s a “hugger”—a characteristic she suggested was “jarring” for the British, alluding to Kate’s hesitance to adopt such casual behavior.

In the 2022 Netflix docuseries “Harry and Meghan,” The Duchess reflected on her initial encounters: “Even when Will and Kate came over and I was meeting her for the first time, I remember I was in ripped jeans, I was barefoot.”

She mused about her naturally affectionate demeanor, stating, “Like I was a hugger, I have always been a hugger. I didn’t realise that is really jarring for a lot of Brits. I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside.”
