  1. An exclusive economic zone (EEZ) is an area of the sea in which a sovereign state has special rights regarding the exploration and use of marine resources, including energy production from water and wind. It stretches from the baseline out to 200 nautical miles (nmi) from the coast of the state in question.

  4. guys can you see how the french eez at canada shaped? yeah that island is much larger than the greek island greece claims half of the east med for.

[those french islands](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Pierre_and_Miquelon) have 20 times the area and 10 times the pop [greek island has](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kastellorizo)

the purely western centric view this sub has a great representation of [good enough for east](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bon_pour_l%27Orient) . not so suprisingly french who coined this term, yet again is most anti turkish one
