Severe flooding in parts of Spain’s Catalonia after heavy rain

In a footage released on Saturday from the country’s firefighting service, roads and plains were seen severely flooded after the Spanish weather agency AEMET issued several red alerts on Friday (July 11) night.

In social media posts, the Catalonia Fire Department said it received over 200 calls due to the storm and was conducting helicopter search operations.
