Hello all,

My SO recently moved to germany after being abroad with me for 4 years. She left a few items (headset, sunglasses, ID, documents) behind that she’d prefer to have sooner rather than when I catch up to her.

Looking into it, it seems most everything sent to Germany gets taxed. Unless it’s a gift under 40 Eur (which it isn’t) or under this absurdly named [form 0350](https://www.zoll.de/EN/Private-individuals/Staying-in-Germany/Transferring-residence/transferring-residence_node.html) “Customs declaration for the release of personal property entered for free circulation with a specified end-use” (Zollanmeldung für die Überführung von Übersiedlungsgut in den zollrechtlich freien Verkehr zur besonderen Verwendung). So yeah Does anyone have experience with using [this form?](https://www.formulare-bfinv.de/ffw/form/display.do?%24context=8FC53D862E174A4A9754)

I ask because while the website says,

> Although there are not any specific numerical restrictions on the type or quantity of the goods that are registered as property being moved in connection with a transfer of residence, it should be clear that it does not have any commercial character.
>
>The following are seen as property being moved in connection with a transfer of residence:
>
>**Household effects**, that is: all personal effects, household linen, furnishings and equipment intended for the personal use of the individuals concerned or for meeting their household needs;

The form only gives more limited the examples of,

>Household goods (e.g. furniture, laundry, household appliances); Household stocks (e.g. foodstuffs)  2) ; Other (e.g. animals)

Which the stuff she forgot doesn’t seem to fall under. Would rather not pay a hefty import bill on her airpods and sunglasses (\~500 eur).
