That poor Ukranian woman. Maybe she doesn’t want to be used by that other woman again to paint herself as a saviour in the national press.
I feel so bad for the way ukrainian surrogates have been treated in Ireland. Couldnt believe the number of fawning profiles in the media of “babies rescued” from Ukraine, forgetting to mention the poor woman who probably got a few grand for all of it, whose been abandoned post partum in a warzone. Surrogacy is ethically grey at the best of times but a lot of people have really shown they just see those women as incubators, not people.
What a horrific situation that aside from the ptsd of having to carry this woman’s children and give them up, she is now forced from her home in wartime and she has the choice of an unknown, a stranger or to be with the children she bore for some wealthy woman.
I haven’t watched that post apocalyptic show about fertile women being enslaved forced to have children for rich people because the premise of it is pretty disgusting and clips I’ve seen have literally just been rape, but it’s definitely a show I can’t remember the name of. Isn’t that eerily like this? Fucking hell. Poor Ivanna, not to mention her husband.
