  1. Fans of idols in Asia (typically China and South Korea) will pool funds together to buy adverts to celebrate their idols’ birthdays. In this instance it’s this dudes bday and his fans have purchased this board to celebrate.

  2. I think anybody can pay to have an advert, just so long as it doesn’t breach advertising guidelines.

A few years back Clapham Common underground station had all of its advertising filled with cat posters briefly.

  3. we went to korea last year and it’s really common there, saw stations being completely overtaken by posters for some celebrities.

i’m not sure there’s a relation to angel station thougg, it could be random or could be a semantic reference or an actual connection to the person.

  4. I’d rather a “wholesome” ad like this than more cryptocurrency crap

  5. The explanation of who and why is right there on the poster. What is confusing you?

  6. Don’t you just love living in a global economic system where half the people are starving and the pther half have enough liquid cash and lack of sense to produce and post celebratory billboards halfway around the globe for a celebrity who doesn’t even know they exist?

Doesn’t it just make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

  7. Thought this would be about the building works going on
