This time, we visited a small village in eastern Ukraine.
Many of the children (and adults) have fled from villages even closer to the front line. Despite everything they’ve been through, this day brought them some relaxation and a lot of joy. There was local music and entertainment, and the atmosphere was cheerful and lively. For a short while, the visitors were able to set the war aside, and the children could simply be kids again, laughing, playing, and enjoying the moment.

Of course, we also handed out lots of candy. It was a truly successful day, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.
