Rochdale sex grooming victims receive apology from Greater Manchester Police

  1. “Police say lessons have been learned from the Rochdale case”

Has there been a proper public inquiry?

Were any officers disciplined for ignoring kids reporting multiple rapes?

Given the scale of this and other grooming gangs and how poorly sex crimes seem to be investigated generally, every force in the country should be reviewing every report they’ve received in the last decade and making sure they don’t have another gang like this sitting under their nose.

I’d also like to see whole life orders for these sorts of offenders. There is no chance of rehabilitation and a high risk to the public for people who systematically abused dozens or hundreds of girls, especially with the aggravating racial/ethnicity factors.
