Malcolm’s departure from Paris had been anticipated for some time, with earlier reports even linking him to a move to Maccabi Tel Aviv. However, Hapoel made a late push and successfully convinced the 28-year-old to join their squad instead.
Last season, Malcolm appeared in 33 EuroLeague games for Paris, averaging 7.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
“I’m happy and excited to join Hapoel Tel Aviv. I look forward to learning from a great coach and playing for amazing fans,” Malcolm said.
Prior to his stint in France, Malcolm played for Bonn, Keravnos, Kauhajoki Karhu, and Batumi. His career highlight remains the 2024 EuroCup title, which he won with Paris.
Hapoel head coach Dimitris Itoudis is clearly very pleased with the arrival of Malcolm.
“Collin is a versatile player, an impressive athlete with a wide skill set at the forward position. He’s highly motivated to be part of Hapoel Tel Aviv’s new era, and we welcome him to our club.”
Malcolm becomes Hapoel Tel Aviv’s sixth signing this summer. The Israeli club had already added Elijah Bryant, Dan Oturu, Itay Segev, Tai Odiase, and Tyler Ennis as it prepares for its debut EuroLeague season.
