It's the start of another week! The sun is shining (a bit less than last week, thank goodness), the birds are singing, everything feels fresh and good.
But maybe you're a total Garfield?
Either way, come in and have a chat about how your weekend was, and any plans for the week ahead.

3 hours sleep and the pain i woke up in do not bode well with the amount of fucks I have remaining
Night shift later so hopefully a nap will occur at some point
Went adventuring in Snowdonia on the weekend. Something has bitten me (twice) and one of the bites is consuming me. Feel absolutely, utterly awful, dreadful and I’m late for work.
Weekend was knackering. Felt like I had about 2 hours to myself in total. Work for the next two days, also gonna be knackering.
Buuuut, I just had a really nice bike to work and a relaxing shower. It’s a great way to start the day.
Well, I have already been to the corner shop and done a bit of tidying and washing up before the sun cracked the horizon. It’s just easier for me to do things before it gets too hot. Having stomach acid cause a dramatic coughing fit at 5am does have advantages.
The forecast is promising a little bit of rain today, 11° overnight, and a lot of rain tomorrow. I can’t wait.
Problem with the Monday thread
it’s still Sunday night as long as you can keep your eyes closed
Heavy weekend going to gigs and BBQs. My stomach isn’t feeling great, don’t know if it’s too much alcohol consumption or I undercooked some pork.
Either way I don’t think I’m going to last the full day at work.
Working this week. Both the SO and I. No one else is tho, they’ve taken their holidays now. For most it’ll be the full 3 weeks, for others it’s one week now and the rest later. We’re off later, so for now it’s a very peaceful workshop that is actually closed to customers. Yet, of course, they still turn up at 8am and ignore the signs saying we’re closed from week X to week Y. As is tradition, apparently.
Also THE HUMIDITY. GOOD GOD. If the air gets any wetter we’d be swimming around.
Watched NXT: Great American Bash over the weekend. And today, I’m going to be watching Evolution 2.
Once I get back home from running some errands in Clacton
The cooler nights and light breeze have been a godsend the last couple of days. Although the solid brick walls of this house are still acting like a storage heater and keeping indoors at a lovely 27C all day and night. It’ll be a few days before it properly cools down in here.
Need to get a new washing machine as mine just died yesterday whilst washing the bedding.
Start my new job on Thursday!
I have to go and have a blood test. Not a great start to the week as I’m a fainter. Have to lie down and talk incessantly to the nurse about drivel to distract myself from the fainting.
It’s a much more sensible temperature today, thank goodness. I’ll be going to do my mum’s housework later, then maybe some pottering in the garden if my back is up to it. I didn’t sleep all that well last night, so either a nap or an early night will be on the cards.
Spent an unheard of 4 days in the office last week. Employer is very relaxed in good faith, but 90% of people take the piss and never come in at all.
Sometimes I’m nostalgic for the pre-covid office where there’d at least always be something going on at work and new people to meet.
Got an appointment with the doctor this afternoon but it’s a phone call and I just know he’s going to fob me off and the whole thing will be a waste of time for both of us 🙄
Have a headache, which is annoying. Hoping it’s not a migraine.
At least it isn’t in the brutal heat which would make it so much worse.
Definitely feeling a bit “ugh” today – the weather has drained me over the past week or so, I’m emotionally drained after a funeral last week and I opened my laptop bag this morning to find a dead spider in there which is not how I want to start a day.
On the bus for the second half of my sehcat scan and I could not be less arsed. Did have a lovely weekend away even though it was boiling hot!
