As reported by TV8
In recent days, some Telegram channels and TikTok accounts associated with pro-Russian groups have circulated information claiming that ten soldiers and officers of the Moldovan National Army allegedly went to Ukraine.
However, the Ministry of Defense of Moldova has denied these claims, calling them deliberate disinformation. This was reported by TV8.
The ministry noted that the posts mention the death of four Moldovan servicemen and the injury of two others as a result of an attack by Russian forces.
“This narrative is an obvious lie, deliberately spread to cause panic, undermine trust in the country’s leadership, and create confusion during the election period.”
– Ministry of Defense of Moldova
The ministry emphasized that no serviceman of the Moldovan National Army is involved in combat operations outside the country. They also urged citizens to obtain information only from official sources and to avoid spreading fake news.
