Denmark Supports Ukraine with Satellite Services through EDA

As reported by the Danish Ministry of Defense

Denmark will, for the first time, begin providing satellite services to the Ukrainian military through the European Defence Agency (EDA). This information was confirmed by the Danish Ministry of Defence.

Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized that Denmark aims to contribute to the “space defense of Ukraine” through this decision.

“In close cooperation with the EU Defence Agency, Denmark is now helping to strengthen Ukraine’s satellite communications in its defense against Russia. Space solutions have enormous potential that can help bolster the defense of Ukraine, Denmark, and Europe.”

According to the Ministry of Defence, Ukraine will receive access to specialized receiving terminals that will enable satellite communication. This will significantly enhance Ukraine’s capabilities in fighting the illegal Russian invasion.

The terminals will provide a reliable and secure connection, which could be a decisive factor in conducting military operations.

The EDA hopes that other EU countries will follow Denmark’s example and consider implementing similar projects to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
