Isn’t this literally going to be in the lobby? Sad.
That is mental. Glad it’s being preserved though.
Honestly kinda sad looking.
But remember, if you oppose this, you’re a nimby!
I find it crazy that this is being allowed
Reminds me of the photo of Fitzrovia Chapel when the surrounding Middlesex Hospital had been demolished. The chapel now sits in the centre of a block of new build flats.

I wonder how they are dealing with the human remains they will inevitably uncover?
In Australia, indigenous burial sites are sacred and trying to build on them is very controversial. We’re a lot less sensitive about relocating human remains here in Britain . Maybe this explains the some of the friction that frequently occurs in Australian development projects.
This is what they’re planning to do.

That’s a building site
Cool pix
This is a really interesting building site to watch. The rooftop viewing terrace and garden next to it at 120 Fenchurch Street – about 20 floors up – is free, with no booking required, and you can watch loads of activity going on way below – loads of machinery, hundreds of people at work, and a constant stream of trucks in and out of the site. For geeks, it is well worth a detour!
What are the big white cross poles for? Subsidence supports?
hate it
City of London truly feels like sardines packed into a vertical can
No respect for English history and culture
That part of the city looks a mess now.
Its pretty impressive engineering, in what they are doing.
I’m glad they are trying to preserve it all.
It looks scary unstable, though I’m sure it super safe.
Please can someone explain to me why the City needs more skyscrapers?
Looks like when you reach modern age before your allies in rise of nations
looking at what they’re planning this is disgustingly disrespectful to our history
Is it still available to visit now or is it closed off until works are completed
Reminds me a little of when they demolished Middlesex Hospital in Fitzrovia…but kept the chapel.

Kind of interesting to see just the chapel standing after everything else has been razed, and the chapel is still there to this day, in *very* different surroundings
