  1. I wonder how they are dealing with the human remains they will inevitably uncover?

    In Australia, indigenous burial sites are sacred and trying to build on them is very controversial. We’re a lot less sensitive about relocating human remains here in Britain . Maybe this explains the some of the friction that frequently occurs in Australian development projects.

  2. This is a really interesting building site to watch. The rooftop viewing terrace and garden next to it at 120 Fenchurch Street – about 20 floors up – is free, with no booking required, and you can watch loads of activity going on way below – loads of machinery, hundreds of people at work, and a constant stream of trucks in and out of the site. For geeks, it is well worth a detour!

    It looks scary unstable, though I’m sure it super safe.
