Wife saw a tip on web that wrapping ends of bananas slow down the ripening. Now our bananas has foil conspiracy theorist hats.

They’ve both gone bananas.
Should leave one unadorned as a control. See if it makes a difference.
Don’t think this will do much but wrapping each one in cling film might. Bananas give off a gas that speeds up ripening of other fruit around it. Polyethylene or something?
David Icke’s fruit bowl
Unfortunately not true but at least they look futuristic and cool
We know, we are watching you
That’s a good tip, give the wife a couple of high fyffes from me..
I’m telling you, that apple is flat
I did that experiment and while the bananas started talking about how the moon mission was faked, they all ripened at the normal rate.
(Gave some the tin foil hat, some not)
In my teens, I woke up early one morning after an alcohol-soaked night out and headed to the fridge to discover everything covered in foil. I mean *everything*. Bottles of milk wrapped in foil. Butter wrapped in foil. A box of Dairylea triangles wrapped in foil. Yes, that’s a box of individually foil-wrapped cheese-like triangles that my mother had wrapped in foil. A Jif lemon wrapped in foil. It was like looking at a 1950s low-budget tv show spaceship.
I shook my head and went to get some water instead. Later, I casually mentioned this to my mother. She said ‘Yes, Sarah told me things stay fresher longer in the fridge if you wrap them in foil’.
Bananas have been awful in this heat. Buy a bunch and have to eat mushy brown mess by day 5
This looks like TikTok science.
Eyes peeled for satellite surveillance…. Q-banon…🤔
That’s just a theory, a banana theory
Sounds like the same kind of nonsense where people put a spoon in their wine bottles
If you put a browning banana in the fridge for 30 mins before you eat it, it’ll go yellow again 🙂
leave it out tho, it’ll go more brown than it was to start with!
