  1. We’re gonna see people taking time off work sick because they’re stressed about having to go to work. What a time to be alive.

  2. This is actually very helpful.

When pay cuts are needed or redundancies come around, they’ll be at the top of the list.

  3. This is very silly, we are being threatened with a war, our economy is only just scraping along and seemingly sinking rapidly, our infrastructure is falling to bits, our services are in their worst state and staying at home is all you want to do? You know that you are less effective working from home, I did it for a year whilst my wife was dying from cancer, taking her to hospital for chemo and tests and looking after our 3yo child, proper reasons for working from home. I tried very hard to fit in work and, because I’m organised and had domestic help from my mother in law, I managed to deliver some useful stuff but I knew I was not as effective as I was in the office. I had a great employer, I was lucky but it’s really difficult to work at full tilt when you need to, from home.

  4. Dont understand this obsession with presenteeism. Happy staff work harder, are more loyal, have less time off sick and are cheaper.

  5. We advertise for new staff regularly for to fast growth, and the amount of applicants that are so self entitled and insist on working from home and other benefits before even getting the job is actually laughable. Those applications immediately get binned.

  6. Working from home would be a luxury dream for me, so I really can’t sympathise 🤷🏻😂

  7. I prefer working in the office, but with mortgage increase and having a baby in nursery, I actually just don’t have that money left over to commute full time ring rush hour. If public transport was cheaper and more reliable I would happily go in all the time.

  8. Speak to anybody privately that works from home and they all brag about how little they can do most days and being able to work in their PJs and do stuff whilst working, I’m sure a lot of people have heard the same.

So I can see why so many are not keen.
